Then when the TV wouldn't work, the night staff sent someone who thought they might be able to fix it, up, but they couldn't. (some guests were not careful in the public areas, but staff quickly cleaned up spills/garbage) Price in reasonable given the days I stayed (weekends always more costly, as are days when there are special events in town) - I checked with the ****** I usually stay at and their pricing was more! I erred in not putting both says of my most recent stay on one reservation, but called and Chris at the desk made sure to merge both so I didn't have to move from one room to another mid-stay. Nice amenities, well-decorated, and clean facility. Have now stayed there two different occasions - both time was the 1st guest in the rooms I was in. Thank you to the staff and the awesome new GM, David you made our trip special! Talk about a relaxing and recharged getaway. Usually, after dinner, we found ourselves enjoying our balcony and our fantastic bathtub! Great bed and bedding as well as pillows for a good night sleep waking up to blue birds sitting on the ledge of our balcony. The Landing also has a pool, hot tub, and bikes! So much to enjoy, and if you gamble, you have options, but we opted not to go but immerse ourselves in nature by day. Also, if you want to drink or partake in any legal cannabis, you can worry-free. They even have a shuttle to take you into town 10 minutes away, so you do not have to drive and find parking. The staff at the property were friendly and welcoming. We ate two meals at Jimmy's during our four-night stay, dinner and breakfast/brunch, and both were delicious and provided good service. We went stand-up paddling, jumped in numerous parts of the lake, went hiking to Emerald Bay, ate at some fun local spots, and drank unique cocktails at The Landing's own Jimmy's Restaurant. We ventured out to multiple beaches and found one that is dog friendly. So dog-friendly, a pet bed and bowls were waiting for us in the room when we arrived. Also, we brought our cocker spaniel with us as the property is dog friendly. We decided to book a lakefront room which was well worth the view from the sunrises to the sunsets. It is in prime South Lake Tahoe, right at a beach/lakefront with access to enjoy. My fiance and I wanted to go somewhere on a lake where we could venture out and do activities besides eating and drinking, which we did! The Landing is a special place. Even if we could not drive here, an excellent place this is we would tell anyone to fly. This was a much-needed getaway, and we did not want to go far from Los Angeles. They also had a good variety of movies to borrow. They have hikes, tie-dye craft shirts for souvenirs, etc. Last but not least, they have activities that you can participate in for a small fee. The room had such special final touches, bows with the towels, even with the cookware in the dishwasher ready for us. We really loved the layout of the rooms and made it feel like we had our own home even though it was a hotel room. The value that we got was so great I feel like we really hit the jackpot on this one. There were barbecues everywhere, corn hole, ping-pong, the pool was clean and a good temperature, and the hot tub was super hot which I really loved at the end of a long day hiking. There was someone behind their serving so that you didn’t have to worry about germs. We loved loved loved the breakfast room and we appreciated that it wasn’t a buffet with tongs and everybody grabbing what they wanted. They always had fresh warm popcorn, and frequently had yummy cookies up for grabs. Each person working at the front desk was personable and you could tell they really enjoyed working there. What I didn’t realize was that there was such a wonderful family vibe there. I chose it because it had a hot tub, decent reviews, and I liked the fact that they had movies and popcorn for the guests. I did a lot of research before selecting this hotel for my family.
